Meta lookalike domains
Greyphish has recorded 6,543 domains that resemble Meta since February 2026, 230 of them in the last 90 days. All of them are combosquats: Meta's name or one of its product names spelled correctly with a word added, most often “web”, “login”, “verify”. .com.cn carries 53% of them, out of 126 endings in all. The pace has slowed, with 22 in the last 30 days against 110 in the 30 before. The busiest week began 4 May 2026, with 468 new ones. 64,755 certificates for unregistered .ph, .com.ph, .net.ph names (registry wildcard) are excluded: the registry answers for any name under those endings, so nobody had to register one to get a certificate for it.

What the live ones do
141 of these lookalikes were registered and checked for a website and mail: 45 (32%) served a website and 31 (22%) publish MX records, so they can receive email. Checks run on the higher-severity matches that resolve, not on every lookalike.
Google Web Risk lists 2 of the 13 live ones checked against it (15%).
